Olbers's Paradox

If the universe is assumed to contain an infinite number of uniformly distributed luminous stars, then every point in the sky should be as bright as a star. So why is the sky dark at night? That is the question posed by Olbers's paradox, named for astronomer Heinrich Wilhelm Olbers, who described it in 1823, more than 200 years after Johannes Kepler first posed the question as an argument against the notion of a limitless universe with infinite stars. Wiping Away Fingerprints Not Enough Anymore

Traditional fingerprinting methods involve the use of a powder that reacts with the sweat secreted through human skin and produces an image of a fingerprint on the surface of an object. If a criminal wipes the item down, however, the sweat is removed, making any attempt to isolate a fingerprint using common methods futile. Fortunately, sweat slightly corrodes certain metals found in bullets and bombs, leaving behind microscopic fingerprint information. British experts have developed a technique that allows them to highlight this corrosion with a fine powder, thereby allowing police to identify suspects who attempt to cover their tracks by wiping off the bullets or other metal items left at a crime scene. Munich Massacre (1972)

The Munich massacre occurred at the 1972 Summer Olympics in Munich, Germany, when members of the Israeli Olympic team were taken hostage by members of Black September, a Palestinian terrorist organization. Two of the athletes were killed during their capture and nine others lost their lives in the course of a failed rescue attempt, during which a German police officer and five of the eight kidnappers were killed as well.
